A fruitful day...

Sergio grabbed two massive jackfruits for us at Jenni's house....it was quite a feat tossing those things down to me...my arms got completely scratched up, but it was worth it!
Cutting open these fruits is also a huge challenge. The white stuff in the middle is like a tar/gum that can only be removed with oil! Our knives are still sticky :)
We also grabbed just a few limes and guavas for juicing...
 Like I said....just a few...to save for later :)
It took me two hours to take out all the pieces of fruit from inside...white the ordeal, but our daily smoothies with banana, jake fruit, blueberries and yogurt have made it ALL worth it!

The Pillbox Hike of Wonder!

We were guided by the lovely Emma Talamoa to do the Pillbox hike overlooking the east side of Oahu
Coming up was quite intense, complete with ropes and slopes...but we managed!
I wanted to hiijack that catamaran and go for a ride on Lanikai Beach!
Me and my girls Emma and Gabby after making it to the first bunker!
The sun was beaming down, but the strong wind factor made it worth it!
It was so windy I thought we were going to blow off that bunker...intense haha!
Sergio sporting the tribal edge shirt that uncle Fili had given him the night before...love it!
Gabby and Kimberly Levasa...those lovely ladies! We had a great time getting to see them again this weekend! Such a blessing!

 Check out that view!!!
Climbing down into the bunkers haha!

Going Away for Now Party for the Talamoas...

Sergio made a new friend Uncle Vic...his new fav :) What an amazing man for Sergio to look up to! We will miss you guys more than you know!
Leah is such a beautiful dancer! She started the traditional Samoan money dance to send the family off :)
The beautiful Talamoa family! They have made a huge impact in the lives of so many people...they will be greatly missed! I hope to have a family like theirs one day...truly full of life and love and light! Love them!
Leah and Uncle Vic...such joy spreaders!
Roger! Aka BOB! His laugh is contagious! It's been awesome to have him and his family back on the island!
I don't know what Vic was doing to Noe, but she was unaware haha until I caught it on camera :)
The whole crew there to send them off with love and prayers,  dance and song..what a great night!
Sergio and his team competed in the first competition of the season from Haleiwa to Waimea Bay and back...
Getting ready for the take off...
And they're off! With the lift of the flag 55 boats took off to Waimea Bay during a crazy rain storm!
Sergio's boat came in a close 8th place in the Pro league, even though they were all amateurs! It was amazing!
All Sergio's supporters came out to the beach to cheer him on!
YAY! It was a great victory and he was happy to be on the beach again haha!

Sergio and his friend Johnny who got him involved in paddling

Kaena Point

Beautiful flowers lined our path as we hiked with the Levasa ladies to the tip of the island...
Sergio and Gabby....tired but soaking in the refreshing breeze at Kaena Point
These rare monk seals are really quite hilarious as you observe them...they kept making hilarious sneezing noises and blowing snot on each other haha!

Island Tour!

A sweet couple from Brazil (but living in Japan) came for the island tour with Sergio and I...12 hours on the road whew! But it was totally worth it and we had a great day...stopping at the Dole Pineapple Plantation, the Macadamia Nut farm, Sandy Beach, and many other peaks...good times ;)
Suicidal body boarders get their kicks out of a 2 second tube ride right before getting smashed on the sand...this is a sketchy spot to surf haha!
I loved this eucalyptus tree! They smell so amazing! Sergio wants to build a house out of this wood hehe!

The Dr. Squad

We had a whole crew of doctors in town and were blessed with a 6 person surf lesson! It was a blast! I felt like I was in good hands if anything were to happen during the lesson ;) They all got up and had a great surf session...great success!

The storm...

These shots were what we went through Monday night as we were heading to the airport to pick up our friends son from Florida! It was the most incredible/frightening storm that I have ever witnessed! These two twisters were over Waikiki beach if you can believe it....intense!

This guy was hungry...

This turtle was willing to fully beach himself just in order to get the best moss on the rocks haha! I was cracking up! This lil (or should I say GIANT) fellow was determined!
